Obama wants Bush war team to stay

Washington Times – Obama wants Bush war team to stay.

“I have received authorization from the president-elect’s transition team to extend a number of Department of Defense political appointees an invitation to voluntarily remain in their current positions until replaced,” Mr. Gates said in an Dec. 19 e-mail to political appointees.

Hmm. Whats going on here? Where is the change? I haven’t seen a whole lot of change coming out of the Obama camp yet.

It makes me wonder what is in them daily briefings Obama is receiving. Or maybe its because Obama¬† knows he’s in way over his head and knows he isn’t qualified. OR because he knows he is going to screw up he can somehow keep blaming Bush for his own ineptness.

John Young, the undersecretary of defense for acquisition, technology and logistics, and James R. Clapper, the undersecretary of defense for intelligence plan on staying.

A deputy assistant secretary who is also staying on, said most of the service secretaries and undersecretaries will be staying, until they replaced.

As often as Obama and the other Democrats have blamed everything on the republican party, why these people would even give Obama the time of day mystifies me. I would tell Obama to stuff it. You figure it out.

It’s hard to understand why Americans can’t see what other countries see looking inside US Politics.
We assume the cutting attacks from Left and right mean a different ideology. When in fact you can narrow down the means and ways to achieve the same goals. The greater issue is the goal. That’s where Americans cannot see the road to perdition has several paths. If Obama is looking for Bush appointees to remain in the positions, I refer to the strategy “keep your enemies closer” to explain the Gambino’s versus the Genovese.
